Weaving the Day Away

Image
It feels like most of the day I spent weaving. I didn't. I meant to time how long I did weave for but I kept forgetting to pause the timer or to turn it back on. I've almost finished the first green and white band I'm working on. It got too late with too many distractions for me to work on the last design.  In the picture below, t he section to the left of the first castle I did three year ago.  The castle and to the right I did yesterday and today.   Other happy things from today include: Keziah and I had a meeting with the event coordinators for the event next weekend. After going over the schedule and some other things I feel more prepared for it.   Aesop, our dog, thought he wanted to go for a walk today but I struggled to get him to move once we were outside. It was still a nice walk. We came home through the back of the property. I don't think I've been out there since spring so the trail was overgrown. I've missed it and look forward to sp...

Memorial Day

Image
The walk I was planning on today was canceled so I instead walked with my friend, Amy. We met at Livingston Park and walked about three miles. Here are some other happy things from today: There is a plant that is often part of a wooded area's carpet. I knew it flowered and was happy to see it that way and be able to identify it easier. It seems to be a Canada mayflower. The stream that goes through the pond and park seemed happy. The sun sparkling off the water adding light to a partially shaded area. We were all in the living room and strange rustle and thunk sounds came from the kitchen. When I checked to see what was going on I found Nanni, our gray tabby, apparently trying to close herself into a box! ☮ Currently reading:  Pocketful of Miracles: Prayer, Meditations, and Affirmations to Nurture Your Spirit Every Day of the Year , Joan Borysenko. Currently listening to:  Seven Surrenders , by Ada Palmer Thank you for being part of my happy things. Stay safe.
