Love and Light

Pretty much every day this year I have been reading the daily meditation book that I list at the end of the blog. I haven't been practicing it though. There were some things in the beginning that pushed some buttons for me. Still, reading it is useful and the button pushing lessens. There are lessons however within the book that I occasionally like and today I used one of them. When out for a walk in the city there was someone crying and talking on the phone-I sent them love and light. There was another person I walked by who was on the phone and obviously upset over something and I sent them love and light. The same with a person that might have been homeless, it doesn’t matter, they got some love and light too. These small things made me feel better for no apparent reason.  The people will never know and that doesn't seem to matter.  Other happy things from today: I love seeing the State House lit up at night. It Was a Good Day

The family and a friend all went to the local Farmer's Market this morning. Aesop, our dog, went too. There is also a new restaurant that they have wanted to try so we took two cars and traveled in teams. Keziah, our friend, and I were one team, Gideon and Zed the other. The first part of the time Gideon and Zed walked the market with Aesop and the rest of us went to the new restaurant. The second part they went to the restaurant and we had Aesop. There tend to be a lot of dogs at the Farmer's Market.  We divided and conquered!  Here are some happy things from today: The new restaurant has some gluten free options and so I got some avocado toast that had vegan cream cheese, some greens and was tasty. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered.  Instead of getting the customer name or using numbers for ordering, customers were given a celebrity such as Elizabeth Taylor or Lupita Nyong'o that was called out when the order was ready.  It was a fun atmosphere.
