Candy

Somehow I remembered to take care of the wildlife camera. Unfortunately, the SD card doesn’t want to work or the camera is broken and won’t read the card. I’m still happy that I remembered to go out and try to take care of it.  The path is a little overgrown from lack of use. Other happy things from today: Gideon has a friend over. I’m happy that he has a day to play with a friend. He doesn’t get that very often. I have a bunch of candy from Christmas and I am thoroughly enjoying this. When the candy is gone, I will cut back on my sugar and I’m going to reduce my gluten too. For now I will embrace the sugars. Christmas movies aren’t over for me yet. I watched a few episodes of the series Dash & Lily that I started with the family on Christmas Eve.  I'm enjoying this Christmas series, it has intrigue. ☮ Currently reading: Pocketful of Miracles: Prayer, Meditations, and Affirmations to Nurture Your Spirit Every Day of the Year , Joan Borysenko. Candy

Finally my work week is over. I'm happy to say that I don't hurt as much as I expected to after being on my feet working for 50 hours. Only time will tell how well I'll be feeling by the time the holidays arrive. Here are some other happy things from today: Today's Christmas movie was Christmas With You . I'm pretty sure all these movies follow the same outline with different characters. This doesn't seem to be a bad outline…  A few weeks ago we went to a baby shower and brought back a bunch of the party favors/candy.  It turns out the outside of the ball is white chocolate (colored blue), and inside are chocolate pieces. So I have occasionally been eating the outside and leaving the chocolate insides for the rest of the family. I can't eat regular chocolate, but I love the white chocolate. ☮ Currently reading: Pocketful of Miracles: Prayer, Meditations, and Affirmations to Nurture Your Spirit Every Day of the Year , Joan Borysenko. Time

Time is such an ever changing constant. It always moves at the same rate yet sometimes it drags on and other times it flies by. And so it goes that I feel like my day has dragged on but the month is flying by. The afternoon was spent trying to sleep. FitBit claims I got almost two hours of broken sleep but it didn’t feel like it. When the time came to write, I fell asleep, of course! Here are some happy things from Thursday: It was a long night at work, perhaps because it was the last day of my week. There were good interactions with other employees though that remind me to try to be someone else's good interaction. Sometimes candy is handed out at work and I usually say no because it is often chocolate. This time I got a Charms Blow Pop. This is not a candy of choice, but it kept me awake for my short ride home and was fun while it lasted in a reminiscent sort of way. With the family in the evening we had root beer floats and finished watching the Loki series. In this se...
