All About the Tech

It is my thankful Wednesday. This is the middle of my work week and the day I tend to be the most tired and so a thankful day seemed a better option than happy. Here are some things I am thankful for today: Yesterday I wrote about applying for some training through work. If all goes well, this will be a long process. I'm thankful that the first step is done and accepted. I'll be doing the next step over the weekend when I have slept. One of the things I will need to know more about for the training is JAVA. It is a computer programming language that I know little about. I'm thankful that Hoopla had a small ebook I could borrow through my library to read and start learning. Every little bit will help, or I'll find that this isn't for me. Either way is a good learning process. Today is the last day of summer. I'm thankful that autumn is on the way, though I'm not looking forward to winter this year, maybe that will change. I took some pictures of s...

It tends to be hard for me to sleep on Thursdays. Perhaps it is because I am off after work for the weekend and want that weekend to start. I don't know what I did differently today but I had a nice nap of around three hours. This was just enough for me to wake up long enough to have dinner with the family and watch the first episode of The Rings of Power . Other happy things from today: Somehow, even though I walk by here every day, I missed this rose when it first bloomed. It is still a beautiful reminder that summer isn't quite over. That said, there are also signs of autumn approaching. Over the weekend I will aim at getting some pictures. For a short time I went to the studio. Keziah wanted to fit me for a new dress. While waiting for her to do her magic with fabric, I worked on sewing the backing to my latch hook. ☮ Currently reading: Pocketful of Miracles: Prayer, Meditations, and Affirmations to Nurture Your Spirit Every Day of the Year , Joan Borysenko. Summer Solstice

Happy Summer! Honestly, this month has been flying by so fast that I totally forgot that summer was about to start. Here it is, summer. Some happy things from the longest day of the year: When mowing some of the yard I got covered with pollen from the flowers on the privet bushes. The flowers are pretty and they smell nice too. At work I was given a pin to commemorate the one year anniversary of working there. It was a nice gesture.  The manager who gave me the pin is one of my favorites.  She often has a smile and is enthusiastic. I wasn't going to start reading more books until I finished other ones.  Over the weekend I started reading Live Your Bucket List .  It is on the Kindle app which made it an easier book to bring over weekend camping than a paper one.  I haven't read much yet, but I am liking where it is leading so far. ☮ Currently reading: Pocketful of Miracles: Prayer, Meditations, and Affirmations to Nurture Your Spirit Every Day of the Year ,...
