Weaving Wednesday

Sometimes, sleep is a wonderful thing. Today went so much better than yesterday! I didn’t feel like I was going to fall asleep at work and my attitude was better. Other happy things from today: Since the forsythia are blooming I got out and did a little pruning of the roses. Truth is, even after watching videos and reading articles I still feel that I don’t know what I am doing. Hopefully I didn’t kill them. There is another bush I will get to another day. Before After... Can't really tell I did much. Also on the plant front I repotted some of the marigolds. I’m not sure that was a good idea either, but it is done. If the ones I repotted don’t make it, there are more. The challenge is over. Today is Weaving Wednesday though and so I wove another three of the repeating pattern I’ve been doing.   ☮ Currently reading: Pocketful of Miracles: Prayer, Meditations, and Affirmations to Nurture Your Spirit Every Day of the Year , Joan Borysenko. Happy St Patrick's Day

After work I checked on a few things including the greenhouse.  The cat grass is looking good. Even better, some of the marigold seeds I planted are sprouting!   I used seeds from three different places: harvested from a plant in 2020, harvested from a plant that didn't make it in 2021, and harvested from the giant marigold that grew in with the blueberries and strawberries in 2021.  It is the latter that the seeds are sprouting.   Other things I am happy for today: Leaving for work the almost full moon helped to light my way to the car.  When I went outside for break the clouds had started to gently float in front of the moon.   Embroidery won my attention for the A&S challenge.  That marks day 74 as completed.  Well, I didn't quite embroider the full fifteen minutes so I will be watching something on YouTube after I finish writing. Happy St. Patrick's Day!! ☮ Currently reading: Pocketful of Miracles: Prayer, Meditations,...

Gardening

Last night I dreamed about gardening.  There were piles of  warm dirt and it felt good.  So today I rearranged the geraniums, repotted some of them, and planted some marigold seeds.  It was much nicer than just watering the plants.   I'm so happy that some of the plants are coming back from being food for the cellar critter. Other happy things from today: In the afternoon I met a friend and we walked the mall.  We intended to walk outside at a park but it started to rain.  The mall makes a great alternative when the weather is wet.   It is raining, not snowing.  We are a little closer to spring and mud season seems to have 'sunk' in. It is the 64th day of the A&S challenge.  Today I did a little bit of embroidery.  When I couldn't locate the scissors easily, I found a kumihimo cord I must have started a few years ago.  I only got so far as to untangle and organize the threads.  I'll have to refresh my ...
