Weaving Wednesday
When I am at work and the end of the day is closing in and work offers to let people go home early, I often do. It is self care. Sometimes I regret this choice when my paycheck arrives, but then again, not really. There are huge benefits to living with my daughter, her husband, and my grandson. Financially, rent is cheap. The biggest and the best benefit is that I am with my family. Do I want to move sometimes? Sure I do! Mostly, it is a wonderful experience. Keziah suggested I start watching Gilmore Girls on Netflix. I like to sit and watch something when I come home from work, it keeps me from using my feet. After the episode Keziah and I ended up having a brief but sort of deep talk about our growing up. It was a special moment that I am grateful to have had the opportunity.

Other happy things for today:
- Keziah also suggested a book that she thinks that TF and I might like to read. It was only $1.99 through Amazon for Kindle today so we got it. That means I am in the middle of six books now, but who is counting? I look forward to seeing what this book has to offer. If the link doesn't work, the title and author will be at the end of the blog.
- A few days ago I blogged about being on a new medication and a possible placebo effect. Keziah and Zed both seem to think that it is working. They have noticed some subtle changes, for the better. Keziah has been surreptitiously watching me for side-effects too.
- This is the tenth day of the A&S challenge I have been trying to do. Whatever A&S project a person works on the challenge only requires that to be 15 minutes a day. Almost every one of the ten days I have worked much longer than 15 minutes. Today was only 24 minutes. Yesterday was well over an hour but in all fairness, the TV was on too. Going forward I intend to weave on Wednesdays so it can be called Weaving Wednesday. By the time the challenge is over I hope that I have practiced enough to feel competent in weaving again and that at least one of the many projects I have picked up to work on is complete.
The solid section is all I did today. |
Currently reading: Pocketful of Miracles: Prayer, Meditations, and Affirmations to Nurture Your Spirit Every Day of the Year, Joan Borysenko.
and Tracking & The Art of Seeing: How to Read Animal Tracks and Sign, by Paul Rezendes.
Thank you for being part of my happy things. Stay safe.
