Funk

Some days it can be really hard for me to find something to write about that has made me happy during the day.  Today was one of those days.  I think it is a lack of sleep thing in combination with post-event-funk.  Whatever the reason, I've struggled with keeping my emotions in check today (cry lately?).  Still, there are a few happy things that are popping into my mind as I write.

  • There is something I want to make.  I think I have fabric in a box somewhere that would work but instead I went to Joann's and found a remnant that should do what I want.  It cost less than three dollars.  I like the look, feel, and how I think the thing I want to make will look.

  • Much of the snow of winter has melted leaving behind mud and, in the garden, the winter rye that I planted late last fall.  It hasn't grown much over the winter, but it is green.

  • It is the 65th day of the A&S challenge.  I decided to weave.  The tension on the loom has been -
  • off so after weaving I played with that for a bit.  Tomorrow I'll see if it helped or not.

Thank you for being part of my happy things. Stay safe.

  1. I swear there must have been something in the air yesterday or planets aligned/misaligned or something because I too REALLY struggled yesterday and it seemed like everyone I talked to was in the same space. I slept a little better last night and felt slightly better able to cope today. Hope you do too.
