Happy Mother's Day!
Mother's Day. Keziah and Zed went away for the weekend leaving Gideon with myself and Zed's mom. Today I was gone most of the day and so Gideon had time with his other grandmother. I was able to spend a little bit of time at the studio. I've been trying to get some SCA garb repaired and ready for upcoming events. I was able to use the sewing machine for something today but it turns out hand stitching will be best for most of this outfit. I've been working on it at home tonight with movies on. It's been nice. Other happy things for today:
-I planned a walk that friends who were available could join me. It being a holiday, only one friend was able to come. We had a nice time walking and chatting. The weather was practically perfect. A breeze kept the bugs mostly away and it wasn't too warm or cold.
-Both of my children called to wish me a Happy Mother's Day. Keziah is enjoying her mini vacation and Bel has been busy working on turning that bus into an RV. Bel and Folke might be able to hit the road this week. I'm excited for them.
-Gideon, the grandmothers, and Zed's brother went out for ice cream tonight. I had my favorite, peppermint stick.
-On today's walk, we went around a pond and over some small streams. There was a turtle, what appeared to be a beaver's lodge, and other neat things. Here are some photos.
On a side note, I'm using my phone to create the blog instead of my computer. Hopefully it will format well. There are less options on my phone.
