More Flowers

 The temperature outside is a little over 70 degrees and mostly sunny.  There are more signs of flowers to bloom soon in the yard.  The lilacs are already starting to open up. 



 Soon the sweet fragrance will be carried on the breeze and people with lilac allergies will be dismayed.  To my knowledge, that is not an allergy I suffer from and I will enjoy this.  Other happy things today:

  • I noticed one paper white (narcissus) bud and some lily of the valley buds.

  • Here is what some might consider an odd thing to be happy about; I paid some bills.  They weren't regular monthly bills and so I have been forgetting that they existed.  Now they are paid and I am happy that is DONE.
  • For Weaving Wednesday I found the pattern and did a very small amount of weaving.  Only one repeat of the pattern and I didn't take a picture.  I'm glad I picked up the loom again and worked on it.  Every little bit is closer to done.

Peaches

Snow Sounds

 When I don't work and my schedule adjusts to daytime, I often stay snuggled in bed doing things on my phone. This morning it was snowing outside. I can hear the cars go by. I can tell when the roads are wet. Right now (around 8 AM) I can tell that some snow is staying on the roads and under tires, at least in some spots. There is a muffled crunching sort of sound the tires make when rolling over snow. And yet there isn't. I realize that the crunching was a slower vehicle, probably on the side of the road, turning, or driveway. Most cars are traveling at a reasonable speed, the snow is most likely blowing to the sides, lightweight. The sound is still muffled slightly which tells me that the snow is falling.  Other happy things for today: Day 5: Today the A&S challenge is not an unfinished project.  I found my lucet so I decided to refresh my memory on how to do a lucet braid. Weaving Day

My grandson, Gideon, has been trying to learn magic tricks with cards. He struggles with the slight of hand, and knows it. I admire that he is trying. He also tries to invent new card games. Other happy things from today: My friend, Amy, had a craft afternoon at her house today for just a few people. Most of us had weaving projects. I didn't get as much done as I wanted, but made some good progress on my loom. It was also good to spend time with friends.  Later, at home the family had leftovers from Thanksgiving, including pie for dessert. The pies are almost gone and I have enjoyed them while we've had them.  We also watched a movie together. Spider-Man: No Way Home was a really good movie that Keziah and I had seen, but Gideon and Zed had not. There was laughter in the beginning of the movie and tears at the end.
