Oak Hill Fire Tower
There has been a lot of frustration and confusion concerning the prerequisite course I am trying to take and learn Java. I’m having a difficult time learning this on my own and I don’t want to overburden my friends with questions that should be basic. I went out for a nice walk to clear my head, but when I delved back into the Java classwork I had brief success followed by becoming frustrated and confused again. Thank you for reading over my little bit of venting. Here are some happy highlights from today:
Currently reading: Pocketful of Miracles: Prayer, Meditations, and Affirmations to Nurture Your Spirit Every Day of the Year, Joan Borysenko.
Currently listening to: The Dream Thieves, by Maggie Stiefvater.
Thank you for being part of my happy things. Stay safe.
- Before deciding that I needed a walk I went outside and used Gideon’s round saucer hammock. The breeze rocked and twirled me gently as I looked up at the leaves, branches, and sky.
- With the wind whooshing as I walked along the trail up to the fire tower the leaves would dance and swirl on the ground before me. At the top I had a nice conversation with a young man that was also there to enjoy the view. Even with the cloud cover and incoming rain we could still see a few towns over and some of the closer mountains.
- There was a young couple coming down the trail as I was heading up. One with a child in front of them on a bike and the other carrying a sleeping toddler. They all seemed happy and this was good.
- There were a few splashes of the bright foliage remaining.
