I Won a Prize!

Other people at my work have to work 60 hours, my schedule only requires 50 hours. I could volunteer to put in more time, but I doubt I will. My body is tired and I have learned that self-care is important.  It is especially important because I feel like I am fighting a cold.  Here are some happy things from today:

  • Work supplied sandwiches from an unknown place tonight. The food I chose was yummy. The packages had the general ingredient list on them. It made it so much easier to find something I liked. There was also a cookie and bag of chips. I gave the cookie to Zed's mom because I can't eat chocolate and the rest of the family is away for the day. She let me have a biscuit and some of the bacon she had been cooking when I got home. This was a win-win situation.

  • Another thing they do at work this time of year is give away things. I won an iPad. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it yet, I'm not really an Apple person. Winners are chosen at random, I didn't have to do anything but show up and stay at work for the day.  It's still nice to win something.

  • Since the rest of the family had other things to do today I watched a Christmas movie, slept for a while, then watched another one. Today’s two movies were sequels to yesterday’s-- A Christmas Prince: The Royal Wedding and A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby. Now that I have finished that trio of movies I hope to find a couple classic Christmas movies to watch before returning to the endless supply of newer Netflix Christmas shows.

Currently reading: Pocketful of Miracles: Prayer, Meditations, and Affirmations to Nurture Your Spirit Every Day of the Year, Joan Borysenko.

Currently listening to: The Raven King, by Maggie Stiefvater.

Thank you for being part of my happy things. Stay safe.
