Little Things

It was my hope to be in bed by three this afternoon. I didn’t make it, but I’m still hoping it won’t be too much longer. Here are a couple happy things from today:

  • At work I was taught how to work in the unload area. I haven’t put this to practice at all so I don’t feel like I learned how to do it yet. Most of the information I absorbed had to do with being safe.
  • I had a -what if- moment that resulted in a conversation with Gideon. Everything is fine but I suddenly couldn’t remember if Gideon knew what to do if he needed to call 911. Now I am pretty sure he does and that is a good thing.
  • Bel and I had a nice little conversation today. They left Texas about two weeks ago, went to Colorado and are now in Kansas on the way to see friends in Ohio. RV life.  Yes, I am a little envious.
  • Keziah picked some lilacs the other day and I put a sprig on the dashboard of the car. It has shriveled up a bit but I am loving the colors that it is so far.  The blue and purple are both lovely.

Currently reading: Pocketful of Miracles: Prayer, Meditations, and Affirmations to Nurture Your Spirit Every Day of the Year, Joan Borysenko.

And Tracking & The Art of Seeing: How to Read Animal Tracks and Sign, by Paul Rezendes.

Thank you for being part of my happy things. Stay safe.
